#12 MEGHAN CUNNINGHAM

Meghan Cunningham is entering her second season with the Mutiny after playing in all 22 games as a freshman for UConn this past fall. Cunningham sent the Mutiny to the National Championship Finals last season when she converted the deciding penalty kick in round 7 of the shoootout against host team Tampa. Amazingly, she duplicated the feat in the fall when Cunningham sent UConn into the second round of the NCAA Division 1 Tournament by scoring the deciding penalty kick in a 5-4 win over Boston College.  Cunningham scored 62 goals over her career at Simsbury High School, while leading her team to a Class LL State Championship in 2005 and was named the tournament MVP.  She was honored by CGSCA and the Hartford Courant by being selected to the Connecticut Class LL All-State Soccer Team.
