#14 MEGHAN SCHNUR

Meghan Schnur will be returning to the Mutiny for her fifth season. During the 2007 season with the Mutiny, she played in all twelve regular season contests, scoring eight goals and had nine assists for 25 points- leading the Mutiny in all three categories. She was named to the 2007 All-WPSL First Team last season. She capped off her collegiate career at the UConn by earning several awards. She was designated a First-Team All-American, as well as a First-Team All-American Scholar by the NSCAA. Her accolades continue as she was also named to the All-New England first team by the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA). Schnur was nominated for College Player of the Year this past fall. Lately, Schnur has been playing as a member of the U-23 U.S. National Team. Meghan Schnur was also selected to the U-21 U.S. National Team for their trip to England in 2007. The creative & dynamic midfielder has starred for the Mutiny since 2004. In 2004, Schnur represented the U.S. at the U-19 World Championships in Thailand. Schnur earned Soccer Buzz Second Team All-American plaudits when she paced the Husky offense with 18 points (7 g, 4 a). She was selected to the All-BIG EAST First Team, while also capturing BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year accolades. Schnur was also honored as a Soccer Buzz All-Region First Team honoree & was named to the NSCAA/Adidas All-Northeast Region First Team. Meghan was named the WPSL East Division MVP in 2005 after scoring 7 goals & 6 assists - good for 3rd in the league. Schnur was selected to the NSCAA All-Northeast Region & Soccer Buzz First Teams after Fall 2005 at UConn. Schnur made an impression for the Mutiny in her first season in 2004, starting in all 10 appearances. Meghan finished her freshman season in 2003 as the Big East Co-Freshman of the Year & earned a spot on the All-Big East 1st Team. She was selected the Northeast Region Freshman of the Year by Soccer Buzz. A member of the U-17 & U-19 U.S. National Teams, Meghan was given a number of distinctions in high school: including NSCAA, McDonald’s & Parade All-America honors, as well as Pennsylvania State Player of th Year
