#24 KARYN RIVIERE

Karyn Riviere started in all twelve regular season games for the Mutiny last season and will be returning for her third season with the team. After being a defensive mainstay for the Mutiny in Summer 2007 Riviere went on to start 20 matches for UConn last fall, scoring 5 goals and 2 assists (12 pts)-while splitting playing time at forward and on defense. She finished her senior season by being selected as the College Player of the Year for Connecticut as well as being named to the All-New England second team by the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA). In 2005, she also appeared in every game for the 15-5-2 UConn squad. Due to Meghan Schnur’s inclusion with the U.S. U-19 National Team in the 2004 U-19 World Cup in Thailand, Riviere was thrust straight into the Huskies starting lineup that fall as a freshman, playing in 26 games with 19 starts (5 goals, 4 assists, 14 points).
