#4 JESSICA DIAKUN

Jessica Diakun is returning for her fourth season with the Mutiny. She has been a steady defensive presence in her three seasons at the University of Connecticut, starting 21 of 22 matches this past season for the Huskies. “JD” played in every single minute of four NCAA tournament games this past Fall, as UConn made it all the way to the National Championship Final Four. Jess is a native of Glastonbury, CT and attended Glastonbury H.S. She is a defender with good athleticism and strong technical skills. Diakun was selected as the Hartford Courant Player of the Year in 2004 after leading her team in scoring with 29 goals as a forward. She also played for the Yankee United Premier team and was a member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Region I Pool.
