OVERVIEW

Mission

The New England Mutiny youth development program is a newly created academy designed to satisfy three distinct elements for the female soccer player in western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut.

1.Introducing the player to the Mutiny’s extensive network of collegiate soccer programs.

2.Developing players for inclusion on the New England Mutiny WPSL team.

3.Identifying local prospects to be developed for the Boston Breakers of Women’s Professional Soccer through its affiliation with the New England Mutiny.

What makes the New England Mutiny development program unique?

Soccer Pyramid

Through its professional affiliation with the Boston Breakers, operation of the WPSL team and conduit to college coaches, the New England Mutiny is the only organization in western Mass. that provides a direct link to all adult levels for the advancement of the female soccer player.

Youth Club Affiliations

The New England Mutiny is strongly committed to working within a player’s current club. Mutiny programs are purposely designed to avoid conflict with Fall/Spring travel and premier teams. This philosophy allows the Mutiny to work with ALL the area’s top soccer players for the betterment of the player and ultimately her club.

Female Specific Training

The New England Mutiny philosophy is based on the fact that female players are unique in their development. The physical, pyschological and tactical differences in females are all addressed in a comprehensive curriculum. Strength & Conditioning programs and coaching philosophy are specifically tailored with the female athlete in mind.

Coaching

The cornerstone of the New England Mutiny’s youth development programs is its technical staff. The Mutiny has built an academy staff which features licensed coaches through the U.S. Soccer Federation and NSCAA, current and former Division I & II college coaches, former professional players and current certified teachers. Also, through its club affiliations the Mutiny is able to utilize qualified coaches from the area.
